CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 CANCELLATION: BIG update students must know.

CBSE 12th Board Exam 2021: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had earlier said a decision for the pending Class 12 students will be taken in June.

New Delhi:

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is yet to make a decision on the postponed Class 12 board exams. The Class 12th board exams were postponed as a safety measure to break the chain of coronavirus and considering the safety of the students. While announcing the postponement of Class 12 exams, the CBSE had said that the board will review the situation and take a call on June 1. The board also said that it will release the new Class 12 board exam dates at least 15 days before the start of the exams.

Amid growing clamour to cancel CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 due to rising COVID-19 cases across the country, a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Supreme Court against the cancellation of CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021.

The PIL has been filed by Tony Joseph, a teacher from Kerala. Joseph said in his petition that the cancellation of CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will be unfair decision for Class 12 students.

“Class 12 exam is an integral part of the life of a student and important for admission to higher educational institutions….” the petition said.

National Council of CBSE Schools wants Class 12 exams: Speaking to The Hindu, National Council of CBSE Schools secretary-general Indira Rajan said that the council feels that the exam has to be conducted even if it’s delayed, probably even by using alternative examination patterns.

Online practice tests for Class 12 exams: On the other hand, schools affiliated to CBSE have decided to hold another set of online practice test for Class 12 candidates. Though the summer vacations have started, special schedule has been set for Class XII students to clear their doubts. After online classes begin post vacation, a test will be held.

Many schools felt that if the CBSE did cancel the exam, this last test would help get better clarity on the candidates’ scores, which the authorities would be asked to draw up by the board.
